Plenary Council News

We are now in Phase 2 of preparation for Plenary Council 2020, a phase of communal discernment:  the “Let’s Listen and Discern” group activity.

Through the “Let’s Listen and Discern” activity our parish will      recommend actions to be used by the Writing and Discernment Groups to develop the agenda for the Plenary Council.  Sr Moira Broderick of our parish has been appointed to a Writing and Discernment Group.

On SUNDAY NOVEMBER 17, after the 10am Mass, starting with morning tea and concluding at 1pm, the parish will consider the 6 themes from the previous “Listening and Dialogue” phase, guided by the discernment process Plenary Council website. Sr Moira Broderick is leading this activity.

The themes are:

  • Missionary and evangelising
  • Inclusive, participatory and synodal
  • Humble, healing and merciful
  • Prayerful and Eucharistic
  • A joyful, hope-filled and servant community
  • Open to conversion, renewal and reform

Raise your voice!

To participate in the “Let’s Listen and Discern” activity, please sign up using the sheets at the rear of the church. You can sign up for one theme group or multiple groups if you don’t have a preference.
