The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of forgiveness, healing and peace. Opportunities to celebrate the sacrament are offered to those who are elderly, who are seriously ill or who are facing serious surgery.
For those going to hospital we would ask if you would contact the Parish Office prior to being admitted to hospital so we may celebrate this sacrament with you. If this is not possible please contact us on being admitted so that a visit may be arranged.
It is important that you state on your form when being admitted to hospital that you are a Catholic and would like to see a priest and/or receive a pastoral visit.
On the third Tuesday of each month the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is celebrated within the 10.30 am Mass. All are invited to celebrate Eucharist with us. A morning tea is provided for participants in the Kildara Centre immediately following the Mass with Anointing.
